The Just ‘Cause Breast Cancer Walk is truly like no other…because this breast cancer fundraiser is the best100% of the donations go directly to the cause! Enough said!

This will be my sixth year walking. I do it because it is such a wonderful cause and such an incredible and empowering experience. I choose to support this cause for two main reasons.

1. 100% of the donations go directly to the cause!

2. Each year I am personally affected more and more by this disease and want to do my part as much as I can to help find a cure. And, in the meantime, to help ease the emotional and physical pain of those struggling with breast cancer.

This year, the 10th annual Just ‘Cause Breast Cancer Walk, will occur May 18th – May 20thThe Just ‘Cause Walk organization is a grass roots effort to raise money for breast cancer research and treatment. This dedicated group of walkers and volunteers have raised over 1 MILLION DOLLARS to date. The donations go to the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden and the Gillette Center for Cancer Research at Mass General Hospital. All donated money is fully tax deductible and goes to the purposes intended. All fundraising expenses are out of pocket by the walkers and the volunteers who support them—a fantastic and dedicated group of volunteers!

The Gillette Center for Cancer Research at Mass General Hospital focuses on the medical research aspects of breast, as well as ovarian and uterine, cancer. The Gillette Center’s primary emphasis is treating and eradicating women’s cancers. Funds raised by Just ‘Cause are earmarked for breast cancer research.

Incorporated in 2000, the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden is an educational non-profit organization. Their objective is to provide a healing environment that provides a range of complementary therapies, psychosocial support, educational programs and access to nature for those experiencing breast cancer. All therapies are integrated with and complementary to standard medical treatment for breast cancer. The facility is located in Harvard, MA and is surrounded by 10 acres of stunning gardens and woods, with many seated areas for reflection.
